Biografi
Dr. Deddy Marciano earned his Bachelors degree in Economics with a concentration in Operations Management from University of Surabaya (UBAYA). He completed his Master of Management in Finance and Investment at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and later obtained his Doctorate in Management Science with a specialization in Banking through a sandwich program between UGM and the University of Kentucky. In addition to his academic qualifications, he holds numerous professional certifications, including WMI (Investment Manager Representative), CBC (Certified Behavioral Consultant), CSA (Certified Security Analyst), CIB (Certified Investment Banker), CRP (Certified Risk Professional), International Lead Auditor IRCA ISO 9001, and an International Design Thinking Certification awarded by Michael Lewrick. He has held several strategic leadership roles at UBAYA, serving as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics (20152019) and Head of the Department of Management (2019present). Beyond academia, he currently serves as Deputy Director of Sekar Wangi Hospital, reflecting his engagement in applied management, governance, and organizational leadership. Dr. Marciano is actively involved as a consultant, researcher, and trainer for a wide range of national and international institutions. His professional engagements include assignments with Bank Indonesia, the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, as well as several state-owned enterprises such as Bank BNI, Semen Indonesia, Pupuk Petrokimia, Pupuk Sriwijaya, and Pupuk Kujang, in addition to collaborations with United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Department of Cooperatives and SMEs of East Java Province, and the Surabaya City Government. Within the state-owned enterprise ecosystem, he has also served as a Coach and Trainer in the Innovation Competition Program at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) (PELINDO), supporting innovation teams in problem framing, solution development, and the translation of ideas into implementable business innovations. In addition, he acted as a Workshop Trainer for the Design Thinking Method for the PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) (PLN) Group, facilitating experiential learning programs focused on user-centric innovation, creative problem solving, and organizational transformation. He was selected as one of the best participants in the ELI (Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Impact) Asia International Workshop on Experiential Learning and Case Study Learning, organized by Babson College in collaboration with Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, Yale University, and Northwestern University. Professionally, he is active as a board member of the East Java chapter of the Indonesian Economic Scholars Association (ISEI), a director at the Indonesian Marketing Association (IMA), an assessor for LAMEMBA, an assessor for BNSP through the Capital Market Professional Certification Institute (LSP Pasar Modal), and a grant reviewer for the Merdeka Entrepreneurship Program (WMK) and Student Entrepreneurial Program (P2MW) under the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (KEMDIKTISAINTEK).
